Gawharet El Fan Drum: Rakassah

Gawharet El Fan products are among, if not, the best musical instruments the Arab world has to offer. They constantly improve their products to provide us with quality sound and the best-looking design.

Style: New Generation.

This Drum (Doumbek/ Darbuka/ Durbekeh) is handcrafted and made in Egypt. The cast iron foundation makes it resistant to destruction and weakening by oxidation. The decorative surface is mother of pearl inlaid – processing of which is very difficult and time consuming.

The New Generation style offers an improved sound, is slightly heavier than its predecessor and is slightly taller.

Head diameter (outside, including the rim): 10.75 inches or 27 cm
